Dom's POV

You know I didn’t understand what was up between Brian and his parents but he wanted away from them and I wasn’t going to question it; however even if Brian hadn’t explained it to me I would still hate them. His mother just showed up on our door step yesterday morning, gushing about the new grandchild and how she just couldn’t let her ‘baby’ go through it alone… Brian looked like he was going to strangle her.

I’m betting the two active brain cells the woman has are to busy rubbing each other to keep warm in all that empty, air filled space to actually process any intelligent thoughts. I mean were not talking hints here. Brian has flat out told her that he didn’t want her here and she should just go home. She just says nonsense and goes on blathering about whatever. When she finally did leave Brian was one happy camper. Turns out mommy dearest went and got herself a hotel room. Showed up this morning with a truck full of baby furniture, I thought I was going to have to take Brian back to the hospital, I’ve never seen his face that red.

The truck is still in the drive way, the delivery guys don’t have the first clue what there supposed to do with the stuff. Brian won’t even look at it, I don’t blame him.

“Enough, I don’t want it. I’ve already picked out the furniture and Dom will get it for me. I don’t want you here. I don’t want you anywhere near my family, you don’t deserve to be apart of any of this” Brian finally hisses.

“I am your mother; you will not speak to me like that! After all I’ve tried to do for you. Buying your baby furniture and being here so you’re not alone.”

“I don’t need your money or your furniture. Dom can take care of his family just fine thank you.”

Damn straight I can.

“And in case it’s escaped your notice I am *NOT* ALONE!!! I have a great husband who is right there and is going to escort you out of my home. You’re not welcome here, not now, not ever.”

And that’s my cue, I always get the fun jobs… spiders, bugs, occasional lizards and mothers, your all purpose pest removal service, that’s me.
