Authors notes & Warnings: Alternative Universe, Mpreg. Un-Beta’d. Dom's POV “Well any questions or concerns before we get started?” “The area just under my abdomen is getting sore… is that bad? I mean with the preterm labor and stuff…” I look over at Brian “why didn’t you say something sooner?” “Well I mean it happens when you start nearing the due date but I was further along with Jade when I started separating.” “Oh…” “Well let’s have a look then, shall we?” The doctor smiles at Brian and waves towards the changing screen. While Brian is getting undressed the doctor starts explaining to me. “Most likely what Brian is experiencing is what we call separating. While he can get pregnant through anal intercourse; that is not how he will give birth. The birth canal is located just below his abdomen and as he nears his due date the skin around the canal will become sore and irritated as it thins and separates leaving an opening for the baby’s to deliver through. Much like a woman’s cervix, however, it will fully separate prior to labor.” “He’s not due for another month!” “Three weeks my friend, three weeks to the due date and technically he is now full term and the babies could be born at anytime. As a matter of fact I intend to take him off the medication he’s been on for the last few weeks.” The Doctor sure is taking his sweet time examining Brian it’s never taken this long before, some measurements and listening to the heart and we were done. God I should have read more about male pregnancy, I should have known what was going on, what to expect. “Well Brian your about 10% separated, I expect it to take about a week before your fully separated and after that you could deliver at any time. Keep your stress levels down; we don’t want to have to deal with any complications from high blood pressure and stress during the delivery. You can stop taking the medication. The babies are full term in a few days and it’ll take at least that long for your system to work out all of the medicine. Is there anything else?” “No.” I mumble and Brian just shakes his head. “Great I’ll see you two next week. You’re doing great, guys.” I need to sit down with Brian and talk about what’s going to happen, God anytime now; we don’t even have names picked out. Chapter Twenty-Three |
